Musical Theatre Workshops
Our unique workshops are designed for Boys and Girls 8 -18 years of age. Learn stage presence and build confidence while mastering the art of performing. Through improvisation, acting & singing the students are taught characterization and techniques to collectively perform an entertaining, upbeat musical for the community to enjoy! Several non-singing parts available! Three Winter workshops offered.
GODSPELL JR. Saturdays 1/5 – 3/16 10:00 - 12:00pm Shows 3/29 @7:00pm & 3/30 @11:00 & 1:00 (Dress Rehearsal 3/23 3:00-6:00pm) The original Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award-winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and it took the world by storm. Boasting a score with chart topping songs, Godspell JR. is a sensation that continues to touch audiences. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage.
FLAT STANLEY JR, Sundays 1/6 – 3/17 11:00 - 1:00pm Shows 3/22 @7:00pm & 3/23 @11:00 & 1:00 Everyone's favorite two-dimensional hero has a new life in The Musical Adventures Of Flat Stanley JR. Filled with infectious songs and non-stop adventure! Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, everyday ten-year-old until the bulletin board on the wall above his bed comes loose and falls right on top of him. The next morning, Stanley wakes up flat. In a whirlwind musical travelogue, Stanley – the ultimate exchange student scours the globe for a solution to his unusual problem. He's stamped, posted and cancelled from Hollywood and France to Honolulu and beyond, all in an effort to become a three-dimensional boy once more. Join us for this fast paced fun adventure!
Freaky Friday the musical Teens 13+ Sundays 1/6 – 3/10 1:00 - 3:00pm Shows 3/15 & 3/16 @7:00
When an uber-organized mother and her spontaneous teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right. Masquerading as each other, they must work together to solve the mystery of how to break the spell. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another in a way they never could have imagined. In the end, both learn the true power of love and the strength of the bond between a mother and daughter in this heartfelt and hilarious adaptation.Based on the beloved 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, Freaky Friday features a book by Bridget Carpenter - the co-executive producer and writer on the beloved TV hits, "Friday Night Lights" and "Parenthood" - and music and lyrics by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey - the Pulitzer Prize-winning composers of Next to Normal.
Rehearsals are held at Acting Naturally Theatre, 164 N. Flowers Mill Road, Langhorne Registration limited. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ACTOR IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL SHOWS. Fees are nontransferable & nonrefundable.
