Actors interested in performing with the Company are encouraged to audition with a Musical Theatre song as well as a monologue.
A minimum of two Acting Naturally Workshops is required to be admitted into the Youth Company. Students are expected to commit to the company from September – May. The group will focus on performance, professionalism and teaching advanced techniques in all areas of acting, singing and dancing. The group will compete and is encouraged by all their Directors to pursue their dreams in the arts.
Aadditional auditions will be held in August to fill the remainder of the Company positions. This will give students who have not fulfilled two Workshop requirements an opportunity to accumulate shows through our summer camps. We continually encourage our actors to improve on their audition techniques and just as imperative selection of suitable age appropriate audition materials. We want you to strive for improvement not only with your acting, singing and dancing skills but just as importantly with strong audition skills and doing the proper amount of preparation for each and every audition.
Students accepted into the Youth Theater Group this year, will not only perform for the Atlanta Theater Festival to be performed for adjudication in January 2014 but will also perform in one of Acting Naturally scheduled shows with the Repertory Company. In addition, the students will perform their own show.
We value your experience and all that you bring to our workshops. We enjoy your enthusiasm and passion for performing and look forward to seeing you each week! Our ultimate goal is teaching actors to act naturally and to have fun putting on shows!
We encourage you to continue your training and use the tools you have learned through your instruction at Acting Naturally. To be the very best performer you can be and to use and develop the wonderful potential in all of you!
